Memory Tips

All the below synopsis are by famous authors so keep reading have fun...

1. Draw -> see an image then see with closed eyes, draw images of any kind.
2. Visualize -> Choose a location with lots of visual features around, so that we could associate things to remember with this.
(Eg: Rooms in our house, so to recall we have to walk to all the rooms and remember wat we have put)
3. 10 items to remember either by rhyme (1 for bun) or by image (like 0 for sun) then associate them with things to remember
*Great to store when we get ideas while bathing, eating, driving, meditating..
4. Name -> pay attn to their voice , ask again try calling their names .. mostly associate their names with some thing striking ..
like link their appearance to a popular person, or character or create new image ..
5. Pay attn: , Motivate
While introducing associate the name with some thing that may b a silly image or ridiculous thing like like linking the person's feature (forehead, nose, ears, eyes, eyebrows) and repeat just to make sure you pronounce it..
6. Feedback (video record physical activities)
7. Train your digit span (working memory a temp memory that we normally repeat it till we write somewhere like a phone number)
8. Think positive: Positive moods while reading or doing imp will improve memory and easy to recall. wen negative bring on positive forcibly inorder to change.
9. State dependent .. Recall (ability to recall in the same state like wen drunk or calm place), Recognition..
Link with Emotions like happy or sad.. better to be in good mood while reading or learning so that easy to recall..
Put up photos of good times where u spend most of the time.
10.Tip of the Tongue : May be due to lot of distractions. (If reqd link Names with something)
11.80/20 Rule (Learn vital 20% of anything that is imp)
12. Schedule to review things that you would like to remember. (atleast 1 hr in a week, just like a recap)
13. Best way to remember numbers is to give it a rhyme
14. Keeping and taking notes. (Diff color for diff types like creative, subject rel, Leisure, movies, etc.,)s

Exercise to boost Memory:
1. recall a particular subject learnt few months back once in a while ( once in 3 months)
2. Learn to remember things by associating with images
3. Read a series of 7 digit number and recall it in reverse order, try to increase the digits..

Covid-19 Be prepared for the future

Covid 19 - How to be ready for the worst which is yet to come if not now but in the coming years.

- The same virus group mutates and there is every chance a more stronger variant will attack in the coming years.
- The most important thing is to have a will power to combat.
- The cure depends on your health ( immunity) , geographical area and most importantly your mindset.

-- There are many ways to prevent to some extent like chewing black peppercorns along with rock salt 3 numbers each ( in the empty stomach) or gargling with saline water or inhaling a strong home made decotion.
-- There is of course one way to cure that is to follow your usual approach ( taking medicines over the counter) to normal cold, cough , fever and do not be bothered about the symptoms for covid-19. Even if the symptoms are similar or it is ( god forbid it shouldn't be), refuse to believe that and take usual medicine that you always have with a more strong feeling that it will be cured the following day. This is important because feelings or emotions affects us more than anything else it can either make us or break us. You should put this in your sub-conscious mind or simply repeat it whenever there is a fear or doubt.
-- For some people gargling works and for some rubbing 'vicks' works it could be anything even drinking alcohol a little but do it with the feeling that it is the cure for your body. It is like believing in the approach which worked earlier and will work now your body will take care of the rest.

The best way Govt can plan to come out of this is by

-- Isolating elders, people with comorbidities or with any other health issues in and around respiratory area ( also diabtic patients ).
-- There is no way we can prepare bed for billion population and who will treat them?
-- So Beds and hospitality should be only for the aged and people who cannot afford to isolate in their house again separate elders.
-- For the remaining population the virus may attack may be symptomatic or asymptomatic and it can be eradicated by allowing it to reach a peak so that there is no subject to spread further. May be with some prescription. The earlier we do this it is better for everyone and for the country as well.
-- I'm not suggesting to remove masks and be irresponsible but to be vigil and alert yet have personal space.  -- Most of lower middle class families are confined to few hundred sq. feet for days, weeks and now months. It will not only affect their social economic status but their health so badly.

Lessons Learned

-- We missed a great opportunity to gather data and digitize everything about people, places which could be of immense help in tracing.
-- All maintenance work that were planned earlier before lock down is still in the same condition seems it wont start until public is back from lock down but the railways have made use of  this period by renovating terminals. Why this was not followed in all public places like bus terminals and all other places?

-- If this virus has taught us one thing, it is cleanliness. Reminds me a saying cleanliness is next to godliness!
-- Soak vegetables with rock salt and turmeric to be free from virus leave it for sometime then use it.
-- I shall soon post some articles on breathing that could help a little till then take care!

-- Again this too shall pass!

Post Covid -19

Though the Govt is putting brave effort in containing the pandemic the loss in some areas would be irreplaceable if not planned now.
To start with, many companies have already communicated that there will be pay cut of 30% for April and have planned to downsize the workforce in coming months the justification would be social distancing @ work place added to the poor demand. This sounds death knell for people who would lose jobs across all the sectors and it may cost someone's life if he or she is the sole breadwinner.
Industry/Group of Minsters should start working from now on in identifying potential companies that are likely to file bankruptcy or planning for layoff's then provide them sops so they continue and also create a forum to hear from the union's/workforce to know if there is any change of guard from the management. This gets worse when it comes supply chain where it has a spiraling effect. The GOM have to start from here and work through the end till they reach unorganized sectors like SME's where people work on daily wages or on contract basis. Corporate Leaders play a critical role in identifying the needy be it contract or casual labors. The SOPS could be in the form of relaxing taxes, providing loans ( either from banks or VC's ). Crude Oil usage have hit a decade low and will continue to do so we could plan to store like how the US did in the past. This impact will cascade to Taxi/Cab drivers who are depending heavily on IT/ITES sectors. The IT sector itself is in doldrums the impact has to be seen in the coming months since most of the companies in US have decided to block funds until situation returns to normal. The entire Europe region seems to resume within 3 months. Startups will face financial crunch as their VC's have advised them to manage with the existing funds till the end of this year. As a result Reality, Automobiles, Hotel, Travels/Tourism and other sectors will reach bottomless pit.
Govt should advise bankers to refrain from asking EMI or Loan repayments for a period of at least 4 months from companies that are really qualified. Though this is in place now, some bankers are increasing the period of repayment. Also the current allocation is just less than 1% of GDP and it is not sufficient time is running out hopefully GOVT will step in and provide at least 2% of GDP so that no lives are lost.

On the positive side, There are is hope for economy revival through some Japanese and Korean companies as they have planned to move out of China. This will be followed by many other countries as well but only if we are prepared with the infrastructure. We have to plan meticulously and be very disciplined. Recently saw the mourning of Chinese citizens everybody was so dedicated they froze wherever they were and whatever they were doing and we as a citizen lack that and its difficult to cultivate.
We have to understand how China have been delivering with their Quality control in place and strictly follow the suit otherwise the pie will be shared across with other APAC countries. At the same time investment from Korean companies have to be properly scrutinized since they come along with their ancillaries/subsidiaries.

Finally, we have to do a case study of what we did during hard times like this have worked. Like transporting goods/essentials in trains worked well it took less than 10 hrs from AP to Delhi. May be because of no other trains but GOVT could seriously consider laying dedicated tracks for freight movement.Covering rest of Indians to create a bank account in order to get benefited from Jan Dan and other programmes. In the event of any strike, lock down like this movement of trucks should be continued till it reaches destination. The current situation of trucks in no man's area poses grave risk as it doesn't cover insurance for any and only the driver is responsible.
At times like this instead of relying on GOVT people can help people rich can help poor any one can turn into a social worker like it happened in Kerela.

Like AMMA canteen in TN every state can replicate this model to provide food @ cheaper price GOVT can also reach out to Ashrams to prepare and serve free food to near by Industrial areas with rations supplied. A Quote from Swami Vivekananda - Service to humanity is service to GOD!

Anybody looking for flats in chennai BEAWARE!!
I just mananged to escape from a builder who claims to have build 30-40 flats @ madipakkam.
At first the builder showed me a flat near by and I was quite impressed.
When I saw one more flat by the same builder I was really shocked with the way it was built!!
All basic amnities such as toilets, water sump , EB Board are not properly fixed and the house
developed some cracks (just 2 months old!!)

I just have one advice/request to all IT peoples.
Please do not buy land/flat at an exorbitant rates and it is becuase of few people the rest
of the society gets affected.
Please keep in mind that the rates are fixed based on the takers!!
I m not sharing this, just because I couldn't buy a flat after seeing 60-70 flats
but I just feel the rates are too high for common man..

Any sportsperson will defn like to play for his country for 1 reason. "Patriotism"
Atleast this young man should have learned that from Paes.
I remeber once, paes outclassed Aqeel (Pak) in a pure mind game.

The panel suggested that Paes will play both doubles and mixed doubles the same day.
Bhupathi got angry when he was not clubbed with Sania in the Asian games.
With this in mind, this dirty Bhupathi lost the first match (in doubles) he
played to lose it a step nobody will dare to that for their COUNTRY!!

When everyone questioned , this guy played well in rest of the matches.
At the end of event, it is Bhupathi who told the press that he will not
play any matches with Leander in future.

I would like to thank Bhupathi on deciding this.

We donot need anybody, anywhere representing our Country without Patriotism!!
